Well just got this new banana seat bike

well here it is and thanks to my mom who found this at a friends place,,,, 3 speed on the frame,
any ideas on what it is? I am going to pick it up on sunday...

I know it is a western flyer--- and the chain guard looks very nice,but cant make it out
she told me that she got it from the original owner and it sat in a basement for years

It looks like a western flyer buzz bike. There is a BMA sticker on the seat tube. They put them on after 1971

well the seat looks a little different, also I have never seen a chrome chain guard on a buzz, as well as from this one pic it looks like the BUZZ is lifted off the guard...

I would guess a 72 or 73 year Murray built Wetsern Auto Buzz Bike III. Yes, they came with chrome chain guards and it should originally be a thumb shifter and not what ever that is on the top tube posing as a shifter. Serial number should be on the side of the head tube.
