Western Flyer Muscle Bike Help

Hey guys. A friend of mine got this bike for his birthday when he was a kid. He dug it out of his dads barn the other day after talking to me about old bikes. He is wanting my help restoring the bike. Does anyone know what model of Western Flyer this is? Any info would be greatly appreciated!

cant really tell but the badge looks like it says Schwinn from that pic. Its hard to see though. Anyway you could post more pics?

Its a AMF built bike sold through western auto stores

Buzz bike ? looks like one i had when i was a kid , rode it home from western auto !

if anybody has a nice one for sale i'd be interested , has to be purple !

Definitely an AMF built Buzz Bike. Parts are easy to find and plentiful. AMF bikes of that era are hard to date exactly, but I would guess it is an early 70's bike. I am more than happy to help with the restoration any way I can. I have a good stash of muscle bike parts and am willing to share. Good luck and have fun
