Yes! That became a Colson/Evans trademark as they were designed by GM car bigwigs. The fenders were supposed to resemble car fenders a-la a '58 double headlight Chevy. I live a few minutes from the old Evans plant.
Also, looks like you may have a Spaceliner saddle there. Not sure though :wink:

I have the same bike! It has a hole in the frame for a tank, but mine doesn't have a tank either. Does anyone know if this model/year came with a tank, and what it looks like?

Could you get a close up pic or two of the chainguard screening ?

I have the ladies twin to that in pretty nice shape, but someone repainted the guard, so need to try to repaint the trim.
