I picked this bike up on a side of the road sale. It is a middleweight bike having 26 x 1.75 tires. I thought the frame was cool looking and for 15 bucks how could I go wrong. It rides nice and smooth. Anyone know what I have.? No headbadge but the rivets go top and bottom.

This looks like your classic JC Higgins frame. Should be a balloon bike that inherited skinnies at some point in its life. Rims may be original since either tire fits on balloon rims. Hodgepodge of parts otherwise; fenders are universal middleweights, chainring, guard, seat, stem, fork are all parts that were probably laying around to make a rideable bike. Definitely worth 15$ though! Perfect build material.

I'll agree on the JC Higgins frame. The sprocket is a Rollfast. Nice deal!

If you need a little more room, you can adjust the seat back further by taking it off the stem and rotating the bracket forward.
