When I was a bike mechanic back in the 80s we used Aqua Net because it was heavy in alcohol, so it dried quickly. My can from the 80s is almost empty, and I can't find another.

So I need another option. What do you use?

Grips. Sorry, couldn't resist. Warm water. A touch of soap added for the stubborn. A 7/8" open end and mallet can help removing really stubborn old stuff, but it may scar the bar or grip or both.

Pretty sure he means install. An old trick we used on our Harley's back in the late '80's. Now where did I leave my walker?

Ha ,you probably wouldn't need
A walker if you'd put that chainsaw
Down once in a while !

I think and cheap aerosol hairspray will work. I know, I know... I'm depleting the ozone... But I'll recycle the canister when it's empty!
