Is this a collector's forum? I don't collect bicycles, I just like riding them and pick them up if they are free or dirt cheap. My thought is to never actively collect anything specific. Save old things from being thrown away and wasted, use them if you can or give them to a new home where someone can use them. I have given most of the bikes I have picked up in the past to other riders. My old man just died late last year and there were five old 50s-60s schwinns in the loft of his barn that are too short for me, I already gave two of them to a couple down the street to ride.
