I think these would work in Adelaide, tons of bikes all year round and we still dont have too many idiots that would wreck these if they were in a well lit area. one more thing----- you have to pay for air in your tyres????? thats still free here, and sometimes, if you are the right sex, you can get someone to do it for you!! still free!!!!! (i didnt mean that in a sexist way.)75 cents what a rip off!

i could see one at the riverfront park here. lots of general day traffic and bike traffic. might be risky at night though. maybe even stick a smaller one closer to the skatepark for more traffic and maybe put a skate tool or two on it also. or maybe at the bike rental spot. actually i've never checked, but i wonder if they loan tools or help out in some why since they're right there. if nothing else, that would be a good spot for it.

i carry an oversized leatherman belt thing that holds a vice grip version of a leatherman and a 6"adjustable wrench. so far nothing has broke so serious that i couldn't fix/adjust it with those, but a pump might be nice.

hmmm... i'm wondering if an idea could like be seeded. if there's nothing at the bike rental spot, i think i'll check the price of some foot pumps i saw at a flea market. it wouldn't be much, but maybe strap it somewhere with the best guess of it staying put and see how long it last. if i can get one for 5 bucks or so, where i wouldn't be out much, i may try it. maybe see if it becomes a thing people watch out for and protect, or maybe add to or something. or catches the eye of some city official.
