TREK 3900
Not a huge fan of cold weather rides, but with all the gyms closed, I didn’t have a whole lot of options!!!!!
It was 28 degrees F for my ride around the lake; 10 mph sustained winds. 14 miles. Just over an hour ride with a nice break at the half way point where I clipped the pic. (Just past lakeview amphitheater)
Sometimes, a bike ride isn’t really an hour out of your life, sometimes, it’s your whole life wrapped up in a single hour.....
You can prepare, but not for everything; for the most part, I was warm, but my fingers and toes were numb by the end of the ride.
The sun was warm and glorious; but the wind was sharp and bitter
No matter how u ride it, the head wind always slows you down more than the tailwind speeds u up
Sometimes, to go fast, u need to go slow
At the start u really didn’t want to do it, but once u get into, it’s really quite fun and by the end you’re so glad u did it
When people look at u like you’re crazy, just be polite and ask them how they’re doing
Be sure to take a break and enjoy the view, it wasn’t easy to get there and there’s no guarantee you’ll b there again
