how about the rims? any rust? the one in the auction had stainless rims too

yea i thinkits earlier because of the 3 piece crank and searching the schwinn forum I have found lots of early continentals with that crank
 
well i stand corrected maybe it is a continental after all. just never seen an early one with the three peice crank like that. see ya learn something new everyday :oops:
 
Thanks Larry...I think your right on the C-65... the other has the shifter on the frame. Still stumped by the serial number thing though, and the CM
