I think you're right, the right seat stay has a bit of a bend to it.The top tubes on your frame are a little bit more bowed than that 1927 Snyder in the picture; maybe they called this 1930's streamlining(?).
I saw another bike that looks like yours, dropouts, chain tensioners, rear kickstand holes & stops, seat post cluster, and top tubes - it was a 1939 Westfield (Columbia).

Are one or both of your seat-stays also tweaked a bit; in the picture they look to be straightened, in comparison to the 39 Westfield slightly outwardly bowed seat-stays.
