yep, a phantom tank, real or repop will go right on there. I used a repop for my old Schwinn because I could never find a real one. Then I bought the horn unit from memory lane classics for 20 bucks. The tank was 48 bucks at the Schwinn shop. I took the decals off to make it solid chrome, then painted it to match the bike later.

I'm not positive but that tank might not fit your Fleet unless you remove/modify the clips that hold that tank. I've never tried a full size tank on a clip frame bike. Gary

I can't help but-

Did someone jack the tank and guard right off your bike? That's pretty bad. :(

I didn't know your bike has a clip for that tank, so I might be wrong. You might find that same kind of tank, they always get parts coming and going at Memory Lane Classics. This is what they show on the miscellaneous page, but it probably looks a lot different now. You might be able to remove the clip or modify it for the standard Schwinn tank, unless you wanted to keep it original.

Sorry about the bad info on my first post. I thought that tank just attached like a standard tank.

You missed my point. The Phantom tank doesn't need clips, the brackets are built into the tank. What I was saying is that the clips that are on your frame now might be in the way of putting on the Phantom tanks. I'm not positive, though. You may have to grind the clips off or modify the ones on your frame to get the Phantom tank to fit. Gary

it has 2 little tabs along the top tube,,,,in the middle....would be very easy to grind them off the i sand the bike down the the metal...for the repaint..
