If you see a spam post on the site, please don't reply to the spam post or make comments about it in a thread.

If you see one, you need to flag it so that the moderators are notified and we can delete the post.

Once the post is deleted any posts responding to the spam stays there and just creates more work for the moderators.

Thanks for your help on this issue!

Thanks Steve, For us older non tech members what is the definition of a spam post on this site? I don't think I have ever seen any and don't know what it would look like.

You'll know it when you see one.

They usually insert a bunch of gibberish that has nothing to do with the current topic and then they always have links in their signature for products. Sometimes they try to get tricky and write something that seems like it belongs, but English is not usually their first language and they always mess it up.

Up in the right corner of the post you'll see the little triangular icon with the exclamation point...that' what you click to flag a post.

Thanks!
