just picked one these out of the trash the other day ( http://boise.craigslist.org/bik/800473886.html )
do you think i can make a nice cruiser out of it w/out chopping it. im already chopping a bike right now so this one i just want to swap parts. maybe 24's w/ a beach cruiser tire, new bars (maybe apes) and new seat. what do you think? if you did up a bike like this please post pics. btw chainsaw sent me (he said to say that  )

its a huffy 3 speed timberline. i cant find another pic of one. i take one tomorow. and btw i didnt buy that one i picked this one up in the trash

I don't know about your bike, but I've got a Sears Free-Spirit 3 speed here at the house. One issue is that the frame is very narrow, so you can't put wide tires on it, even though it may have fenders in a cruiser-style. Being a huffy, I'd say it's fair game to be scavanged for parts. Maybe put the skinny-wheel fork on a fat-tire frame, for that matter. Or get it running and sell it for a few bucks. It's the ideal bike for a college campus, for example.

My Free-spirt has a free-wheeling hub, no coaster brake. The brakes that are on it work great, but that messes with the cosmetics as well.

I started with this

added small apes and a little fatter tires and coaster rear wheel

better but still not super cool
