What tool do you use for paint stripping?

i use this..just big enough for a frame ...

If I may take it back to basics - i just use sandpaper, a stanley blade and wirewool - its all about how much time u wanna spend on it!
 
after you apply stripper cover with plastic and wait a couple hours. this gives the stripper time to work and it won't dry out. cheap plastic paint tarps work great for this since you can get a snug fit.
 
Every method so far involves chemicals, grinding, dust, intense hand labor, paying a sandblaster, etc, etc. I've got you all beat. :wink: I take my frame to the radiator repair shop (owner is a friend) and he puts it in his radiator cleanout tank overnight. I pick it up the next day...bare metal. No fuss, no muss, no labor. It does cost me a 6-pak though. Gary

OK, still involves chemicals, but certainly no fuss on your part. Sounds like a good deal, depending on the owner's taste in beer...
 
dose old bicycle paint contain lead? I wear a dust mask when I sand but the dust gets every were.
