WHAT'S A STRAND BIKE?

Created this section for folks who are into building 70's and 80's correct strand BMX cruisers. These were 26" cruisers that many BMX manufacturers made back in the day. As a result, these bikes tend to have BMX components that were popular during that era. Some brands that were popular strand cruisers were Laguna, Cook Bros., Schwinn, Bassett, Champion, S&S, etc.

"Strand" takes me back to the days of cruisin' along Hermosa Beach and Redondo Beach, CA on my bike.
