Whats up everyone, I'm here because I've recently been getting into building and riding cruisers. I'm a lifetime bmx riding fool , bike builder,& Well decorated bicycle pilot(decorated with scars). A crash in may has pushed my interests away from bmx bikes and into the world of cruisers and here's what I have built so far....
Bike 1- 1988 raleigh twin tube with profile 22mm 48spline cranks w/sealed bearings, rockshox dart 2 forks, double wall Steel eyelet rims with 180mm front/ 160mm rear floatin disc's, dual piston calipers both ran into a single lever. Sealed bearings and 8spd cassette, sram derailer on a custom stickshifter I made, 6bend ape hangers, garbage seat with cheap cover, I'm still using the factory 44t chain wheel and factory gooseneck, but the gooseneck is now serving as my seat post lol. S&M redneck xlt stem and acane creak headset
Bike 2- schwinn alloy ss frame, schwinn cruiser seat from way back, 700series wheels with a 9spd cassette and a 53t chain wheel, aluminum shimano 3piece cranks, carbon fiber fork, old-school oddyssey 6bolt gooseneck, ratchet shifter with built in brake lever and continental tires. Its so fast that I still have not topped it out going downhill and can take it on the freeway. And it only weighs like 20 lbs
