I too have lots of bikes for different purposes, but for cruising I find my Worksman M2600 (tall version of the Newsboy) to be the most comfortable.

My second favorite go to cruiser is my 1965 Schwinn Heavy Duti King Size(20" seat tube), with 9" riser bars and Brooks B67 saddle

Yeah I had a king size with kickback on it once before, but it's pretty flat around here. Besides, I like the simplicity of the single speed.
That is a sweet ride, would be a great candidate for a kick-back 2 speed rear gear hub. Hard to find one and sought after

It really just depends on my mood and how far I’m going. I whittled down my collection to those I truly enjoy, so they all see mileage.

My 1965 Silver Jet, 1963 Huffy Impala, 1959 Schwinn Corvette, and 1955 Radiobike 2-speed are my top vintage rides, followed by my 1996 Bianchi for rides which require me to tow the kids trailer.

Father’s Day ride on the aforementioned Silver Jet, and my ride over week before on the Corvette.

So now that I've been in the game a few years, I have tried a little bit of many things... banana seats to BMX, lightweights to beach cruisers, MTB to drop bars. But the one bike I keep coming back to when I just want to enjoy a ride is my dead-stock '72 Collegiate. I don't know why, but even with the rattly fenders, squeaky seat and cantankerous shifter, for me this is just what going for a ride is supposed to be.

Hey, I also picked up a '59 Corvette not too long ago. I have been putting some miles on mine too; I think I like it as much as the Collegiate.

Ever since I got this Electra Rockabilly Boogy, it's been my main rider. It's just the most comfortable bike I have ever ridden.

A few months ago I sold my mustang because gas prices were going up. I had finally gotten it running good too, but that helped me get a good price on it. I used the money to catch up on bills, and I got this cheap single speed bike. Making it rideable financially ruined me though, I could and should have built a surly steamroller, but that’s my new future goal. I got this running sweet, and it’s done a few hundred miles reliably so far, and it feels like it’s got thousands more to go.

For a while its been this Transition Klunker I picked up a year or so ago. It was the replacement for an 80 Spitfire I owned for 30 years and sold on a whim. A Goto bike has to do a lot of things well and this is a good combination. I can just check the tire pressure and go for the most part. The grips and the seat are changed, and built a set of wheels to put street tires on and still have Kendas on the original wheels all set for real klunking. I ended up with Holy Rollers as a good combination tire and been riding the crap out of it.

Lately I discovered this old GT I had languishing on the patio. Also had a disc wheel and a Landing gear fork from another project so I put tongue in cheek and called it a ghetto Fast Ripper.
I really thought those SE bikes were overblown. But now that I've spent time on this, its not a far cry from the SE. Aluminum frame, discs and BMX styling. Its got the old school styling of the GT which you dont seem to get in the new bmx offerings. They all look the same.

Along with the disc brake and 29er fork, I used a GT stem, Haro cruiser bars, and Rant street tires. I took it on a group ride and this one has really grown on me. I think its the geometry. Anyway I decided to upgrade the old 21 speed to a 1x7 with new derailleur/shifter and front sprocket. I think a new cassette is probably in the future too.

There have been a ton of hawt GT builds here lately. I really want to join the fun, they look like so much fun. The sloping top tube of the smaller sizes really makes the triple triangle work for me
 
Go with a 29er rigid fork and BMX bars. You've got a disc brake mount in the rear too. You can start the hawt Specialized builds
That's definitely an option, but I would probably stay simple and keep the vees. One of my rides has disks and I'm not all that impressed. :rolleyes:
