Looking good! What did you make the collars for your head bearing cups out of? I'd like to steal that trick. I like the posters on your cabinet doors. Is there a story behind the one on the far right? I can make out "197, 1966 Pontiac, J. Leno, Stolen."

The collars were 1 1/8 stem spacers. The steer tube on this bike is a little wider than most. The 1966 Pontiac sign was a Windshield card from a car show when I had a 1966 Pontiac. They made the mistake of letting me fill it out myself.

Once again I learn to make a tool for a really gnarly problem seatpost. Life never ceases to amaze me.

This week was a lot of sanding, I got it far enough to spray primer. It has been hard to be in the shop with the weather so nice. Today I sprayed the primer outside, you can not do this most years in Canada on October 23rd. The frame is in good shape it will only need a little finishing putty and more primer. Next week will be wheels and small parts primer. Happy wrenching.

It is a tank, I do not understand why these frames were made. On average they weigh 1 1/2 pounds more than a regular aluminum bmx racing frame. I have a Norco RPM that is monocoque and it is over 2 pound’s heavier. That is a lot more weight to drag around the track. Most of the extra weight is probably in the welds. Let’s hope they make a better muscle bike than they did a BMX.

Slow week this week, but I got a few things done. My seat post was 27.2 mm and the bike requires a 26.6, so I go over to my buddies and he turns it down on his lathe. My buddy is very old school he even makes his own belts for his lathe. the seat post works great. Then i painted fork parts and cranks. I also am attempting to clean the plastic wheels, what a pain in the ……ear. I have been trying to find a paint that works on the plastic wheels and the only thing I have found out is, all paint will peel off these rims. They will only look good for a short time. I may have to look for other wheels. If any one has painted these successfully please let me know. Thanks.

@tucker , I've been 'asleep at the WHEEEEEELIE ' for awhile on this build! Really coming along nicely!

I like your current blue 'naner and tall sissy combo. Also really like the big ram's horns bars! The curve in the frame and the loop on the bars emulate each other.
