wheres the huffy guru's

I seen a bike the other day (wasnt able to get a pic of it) from searching online I have figured out it was a 70s huffy bike called the RAIL but all the pics Ive seen online has a console shifter. but the one i seen looked like it had a single shifter, it was green with a tall sissy bar on it. Just trying to figure out what year it may be.

Did it look like this? Huffy made the rail in 1966 with a shifter with no console. (picture is not my bike)

yeah the shifter looked alot like that but it had a color matched seat and a solid color piece at the top of the sissy bar

Get the bikes serial number, and the first number of the serial number is also the last number in the year it was made. Example, ser# H71627... where 7 is the first number so it would make the bike a 67 or 77. Other little things about the bike should tip you off to what decade it was made. Good luck!
