Which One is the Keeper?

I need to sell off a few bikes. I will be moving in a year or so, and I can only bring as many bikes as I can fit into a U-Haul, along with the contents of my shop. Yes, I will have a U-Haul just for bike stuff. The girlfriend will get to drive a separate U-Haul with the rest of our stuff.

My only current "rule" is to sell off anything that doesn't have its original paint. My only goal is to get down to 8-10 "keepers" out of 18-20 or so complete bikes and projects. Other than that, who knows?

First up: Coast to Coast Commander Vs. Sears Spaceliner...


Coast to Coast Commander - patina for days! Usually wears a set of whitewalls and a black and white checkered Troxel seat.

Sears Spaceliner - 100% original survivor w/ 2-speed! Some peppering throughout , but a sweet bike.

spaceliner. cooler crank, 2-spd, pretty minty. too bad, too, as I prefer the commander frame...

You should sell me the headlight bezel and left pedal off the Spaceliner :mrgreen:

Coast to Coast Commander ... it have atitude , a cool chain guard and a nice patina + you can sell the space liner for good money

I don't think I could sleep until that Commander had tires and was a rider. That is a way cool ride.

For some reason I can't find any good pictures of the complete Coast to Coast, even though it has been on a few pub crawls. Maybe I can't find any good pictures because it has been an a few pub crawls. It's a great rider! But so is the Spaceliner.

Wow ! Both are sharp bikes but that Spaceliner is it man 8) ! That is a sweet bike and is on my "Bucket List" ! nice!

I dont know...All though it doesnt seem to be the prevailing opinion, I would keep the commander. That is one nasty lookin ride man!

Sometimes you have to bite the bullet. I cleaned up and I threw away a bunch of frames.
I had an x53 in a box I was going to ship and the guy balked at the shipping fee....I put the
whole thing out in the garbage....Never looked back. I had my metal guy come buy and filled him up.
You will find other deals and if you get rid of all of them , you will have money. It will fit in your billfold.
Really easy to transport.

Spaceliners seem to be sort of common, at least in our little world here. Never seen a Commander like that. I'd keep it. I think you can find another Spaceliner like that later, if you still want one.

Sell spaceliner for good coin and get the coaster some new shoes

Break them down, box them up and take them all. I've hauled 10 bikes in a VW bug.... you got a U-haul! :mrgreen:

If I had to pick one I'd say the coast to coast. But I like them rusty.
