Which type of wheels

This is my B.F.Goodrich Schwinn. It has chrome S7 wheels on it that someone painted silver. Should it have chrome wheels or white painted wheels? I have both but not sure which to put on it? Thanks for the help.

Lets see the white ones on there, just see what it looks like. Chrome is always cool to me.

Looks to me like a base model Spitfire, would have come with painted wheels if that is what it is.

Well my painted ones aren't in as good as shape as I thought so it will have to wait

If it is just light surface rust coming through the paint, some polishing compound and a soft cloth worked wonders on mine.

No , the ones I thought were the nice ones are 24" The 26" set has several bad spokes

had the same bike in the same color 1956 spitfire. all orginal it came with ivory white enamel s-7's usally i find if the bike does not have chrome parts. ie fenders or some chrome on the chain gaurd it most likely had painted wheels. i have 11 schwinn cruiser's and all are riders except my 1980 stripped and ready for primer and paint. I hope this helps.
