Not meant as a flame, but I don't understand why people willingly ride motorcycles with car tires. I get annoyed by the feel when a bike tire gets worn a little flat in the center, I can't imagine being on one that was flat across the entire thing.
Yeah - but the problem that they are trying to fix is that on those 2-plus litre, over 300kg bikes, the back tyre can be spent in under 2000km if you ride 'em hard. And they are REALLY expensive. Nobody buys a Vulcan for the sports-like handling anyhoo.
(And yes - we went Metric 50 years ago.)
