Yeah ugly. I know they're supposed to be cool and flashy, lots of chrome and a wild paint job. But honestly, there are a few designs out there that just look lame to me. Like an AMC Gremlin, you can stuff a 400cu motor in it and its still ugly. I was browsing bikes for upcoming projects and pretty much just wasting time and there it was, a fairly rare and desirable (to some folks) bike. The Iverson Dragstripper. Yep it's ugly. What's with the tapered top tube straight out the back? The only thing I can think of that might be uglier is a GIRLS Raleigh Chopper. Looks like they forgot some of that bikes frame...

Now I'm not banging on anyone's personal bike just stirring up the pot for some discussion on factory design flaws and geekgaws.

I was thinking mine was, but since you mean in general...
I'll politely disagree with you.
The dragstripper is my favorite muscle bike, although the girls version is a bit funky.

As far as a boys 20" bike goes I'm kinda torn between the Ross Apollo (yes, I used one for stormtrooper), and the flying wedge.

Just my $.02

Anything that's not an Eliminator.
Yeah buddy! That's a beautiful design.

Hmm, don't like the wedges... That's where we're flipped, I love Apollo's. I like the Raleigh Chopper too, one of my friends in grade school had one. I had the diamond frame Spyder 500... loved those triangle handlebars.

Muscle bikes are a little before my generation, still learning about them. But triangle handlebars sound cool.

Ross Apollo. It is by FAR the worst. The frame design is horrible and so are the seats. I would walk right by a mint one for free.

I'm with Falstaff...before my time. Before these last two MBBOs, I would say anything wedge (including eliminators)...but I voted for two this year, and I'm pretty sure I voted for at least one last year .

As for the AMC Gremlin...I like them. Now the pacer...that is one of the few cars that support the axiom, "you can't polish a turd."

^ This!

I all honesty, the girls Chopper and girls Dragstripper are pretty ugly, just look completely unfinished... But, they seem to be easy to modify into the boys versions...

I've ran across pacers that are well put together, like the two you have posted...but, they don't meet one of my three categories for cool cars. To me, a hot rodded pacer can, at most, reach the level of 'interesting' or 'amusing'...and could definitely be fun, but...in the end, still a turd.

I may catch some flak for this, but I recently learned of this "Holy Grail" bike from Eagleye when he posted one, and I thought it was one of the most ill-conceived designs I had ever seen.

Yea, kinda wedge like.

That black pacer looks cool, but then again I like little ugly cars... remember, I drive an 86 Chevy nova.

Hideous indeed, but I'd kill for one of those Mag rear wheels.

Those Yellowbird isn't so bad, but the Rogue is! Long and ugly. But guys are super into those Barris Iversons!

Ross Apollo is still my winner. Worst ever.

Wedges are a love/hate thing I guess, but at least the lines flow. The bent seat stays on that yellowbird/bandito is ridiculous so is the chainguard. It kinda looks like one of the versions of the Iverson Dragstripper guard. Are those Iversons too?
