Wife's Fresh Find Schwinn w/Bendix Automatic

My wife is back in Wisconsin and found this beauty 1964 Schwinn American today at a rummage sale. I'll probably swap out the kick-back hub for a single speed coaster brake and flip it.

Here's how it went down. My wife calls me from WI and says she's at a rummage sale and do I want this black Schwinn cruiser seat for $2.00. And by the way, there's a nice Schwinn ladies cruiser here, too. I've been looking for a 2-speed kickback hub for awhile. Never had one and want one for my Spaceliner. So I ask her "Does it have two or three bands on the rear hub?" Now, I know the answer is gonna be "no" and then she says "it has three". The price on the bike was right and she even got a few bucks knocked off. She snagged me the seat, too.

I asked her if she wanted to keep it, but she said no. She's got a sweet Electra Deluxe right now, and she doesn't have "the addiction". :wink:
