Looking for some advice from the 'Monark guys' out there....

I'm a 24" model 1310 for my wife and would love to put a tank on it.
Here's the frame (best pic I have)

Here's a shot of the tank (from the auction)

I superimposed the two images, it 'looks' like it will work.

Wadda you think? Should I go for it?

Let me know your thoughts...

I'd read that Monark used the same tank on 24 and 26" girls bikes. But I don't know if its true.

FWIW, I recently bought one of those NOS tanks on eBay for a 26" project that I'm working on. It does fit that frame, but the tanks aren't as perfect as they look in the picture. I'm guessing that someone found a stash of them that had surface rusted. They sandblasted them to get rid of the rust, then shot some primer on them. But they did nothing to address the pitting on the surface. If you're going for instant patina, they'd be great. OTOH, if you want a restoration part, then it'll need some attention. Probably not overly complicated to do, but they aren't as-new. The other catch is that they are missing the bracket that snaps into the frame, which the other side screw to. I happened to have an old one to pattern, but someone that doesn't have an original tank might be scratching their head to get the shape right.

The other thing worth noting is that finding a reasonable price on the horn that fits it seems to be a challenge itself. I had one from a Monark boys tank that I thought would work, but it had a different button diameter and different hole pattern...
