WINTER BUILD-OFF 2015! RULES HERE. Finished.

GET TO BUILDING!

Rules as per usual:
1. Start a new post and use the bike name as the post "Subject/Title." Keep a running journal in your thread about your build.
2. Bike must be built within the dates specified. It must not be started before the start date.
3. If you are building a custom frame, frame must be built by the forum member (this includes welding and fabrication).
4. Must include progress and finished photos (all in one thread please)
5. Bike must be ridable.

We are pretty free apart from that, you can enter multiple builds if you feel you can complete them in the three months.

Start your threads here with (WBO) at the start of the title, when the MBBO is finished voting it will move to the achives and the WBO will move to a new thread group.

I can't take it, I'm jumping in!

I won't be trying for a repeat, that's more pressure than I want to put on myself. the last guy that tried that put himself in the hospital in the process!

I'm only interested in building a project that wouldn't get done otherwise. I have learned that these build-offs are a great motivator to stay on task for getting things done when you might not otherwise make the time.

I was very motivated to try to win BONINE, but not this time.

Well, I do have a horror-stricken, screaming butchershop of a frame i'm working on-but since I began my first clumsy fumblings at frame-murder in early December, i'll have to skip this one. Also, I need to purchase a camera...

If I have time and money before this Build-off ends (and my first poor subject doesn't leap off of the operating table and strangle me with a rusty chain in bloody Karmic retaliation ) I might screw up the courage to join in later.

I miss every single build-off start or deadline. I am trying to have all of my down payment for a home by March 1. I am going to miss this one as well unless I find a frame I like on the cheap but we all know I pretty much build one brand and I rarely find them cheap. [emoji15]. I think I am going to be cheering from the sidelines. Good luck everyone! I will post pics of my realtor and loan officer when I close escrow.

Luke, can you confirm that the build I just posted will be in line with the rules. The bike hasn't been built but has been made ridable, As you can see, it's still a blank canvas.

The Bluebird will be all good, straightening the fork may be the only thing people are worried about but what is the difference if you had got it with a straight fork to start with anyway?

I'm in! Possibly two entries, another board track bike (which I would need done before the Dunedin show, so the timing works out great). The other is a "Ratty" concept I'd been toying with titled "Open Wound", just not sure which frame I wanna use for that one? Of course I still need to finish the G519 clone which was started too early to consider for entry... and not too sure it's radical enough for a BO any way.

How many are gonna finish?

Mine will be a roller but they never seem to have everything I dream up by the time we're supposed to be done... FWIW I think I'm also going to repaint and detail HeadBanger (My first build ever) into a Chicago Bears Bike.
