Winter Corvette build

Picked up this Corvette at the beginning of winter. Was just going to restore it but after discovering shipping costs to Canada I went for a build instead.

Still not waiting for leather for the original Schwinn seat and grips. Going to change the tires out for standard rim s7 tires are too expensive here and I'd like options

Started the seat today

Cut the old ugly Schwinn seat of pulled the top. Soaked leather to make form over seat . Used the old seat to make mold. Pinned it all done and now to let dry for 24 hours

Are you planning to glue down the leather, or will it be clamped/stapled in place

Rivits (definitely spelt wrong) going to use original holes

Dry and trimmed up

Have sand and clean up the edges it'll fit tight once the rivits are in.

Rivets. My phone tells me how to spell things. Can't wait to see that Vette around town this summer

And on the seat with springs waiting for my red thread to come in. My phone doesn't because I turned it off. Always wants to start my last name with an a and my first it wants to put a u. I figure I don't look as dumb spelling rivets wrong than spelling my name. I can't wait to get it out.

heat transfer vinyl sticks really well to leather. Cut it with my cutting machine and use an iron and seal

Got my light today really hoped it would fit right in but I think it sticks up to high.

I agree, It is sticking way up there, and you can't mount it underneath because of the spring. Can it be mounted on the fender?

There's room but I'll have to build a new bracket because of the bend it won't fit around the bend . Way to busy on the fender
