OK, you guys all confirmed what I wanted to hear. That was my pick also.
Anyone know what it's from? I bought it from Double Nickle several months ago a the Get-A-Grip swap and he didn't know either.

Got started on the fork make-over. The first cut hurts the most, then it gets easy.

This is the second supporting role for the donor fork (on the right). It gave up its steer tube for the springer on Old Glory and now the drop outs are going under the blade.

Got the drop outs welded in place. It was important to get everything lined up perfectly, so I left the donor fork mostly intact until both sides were sufficiently welded in the correct place. Then I finished cutting away the donor while leaving the 'tabs' to be used later for my truss set-up.

To make the seat post look consistent with the frame, I covered the welded joint with brass. Then I duplicated the bronze metal finish. The idea is to make it blend in to the point of where it's not noticed after everything goes together. the grade 8 bolts will be swapped for slotted machine screws also (sorry Rocket!).

Got another piece of the fork puzzle done today...
