Thanks man. I tried to have the old school meet the new, there's a Chris King headset, I used a Sram sealed BB with Omnium cranks, Brooks made the leather, and I'm sure everybody recognizes Chad's (chopshopcustomz) bent post. It's really fun to ride around. I kind of feel like I'm driving...

Can't decide if I want to paint my latest build, or leave it sort of 'rat'.

A little help with this Raleigh would be great.

The mystery thickens. How much older were the 3 rod brake bikes you saw?

A little help with this Raleigh would be great.

Here's a pic of the only stamping on the hub I've found, after a thorough once over: It looks like '1' and an '08' with an 'AW' in the banner.

Awesome. I'll keep looking here in a bit and see if I can find or more about the hub. Thanks!

The only stamping on the hub I can find Is AW. There's no serial number after that. I'm pretty excited that you think it could be a pre-war bike though. I was just commenting the other day to a friend how I'd like to have a pre-war era bike. Hopefully we can get this thing narrowed down and...

I can't find a serial number on it anywhere, probably because it's been repainted, and I'm sure there's some things on it that aren't original but I bought it because it's to be my first compete restoration project. Any info you guys can give me about it would be great.

Let's talk about HVLP mini spray guns and paints to use

Great tips, thank you! I have a few junk frames I'm going to get some practice on before I actually start getting after some real bikes, and I'll definitely apply all these little tid bits to my painting.

Let's talk about HVLP mini spray guns and paints to use

I've grown completely tired of rattle can paint jobs. It seems as though they take forever, and no matter what, never seem to last as well, or look as good as quality paint job done at a "shop". So I recently purchased an HVLP sprayer. It's a Finex FX1000 mini HVLP sprayer, not the cheapest...

New guy from the southernmost point

I'm new to the forum, but so far I'm liking what I see. I've been building bicycles pretty much my whole life, but there's always stuff to learn, and I'm stoked to be a part of this community. Anything I can help with, just ask. I'm no stranger to restoration, fabrication, or beer. Follow...
