It was my first show & although I didn't get there until after 12:00 I still thought it was awsome. Many thanks to Door for putting on this event. He is a great assest to our hometown.

Sounds and looks like everyone had a great time. Sorry that I wasn't able to make the show or the photo shoot.

David,
As others have said, it was a great show, held by great folks. The vendor/swap meet was awesome (read that as I spent way too much ) and the food was great too.......mmmmmm Tennessee BBQ.

Also, you have a big heart raising money for the American Cancer Society and providing help for the VBA (Vintage Bike Addicts) in each of us. :D I know from experience that it takes a LOT of time and dedication to build a donation bike and put on a show, you did them BOTH at the same time! Bravo dude.

Already looking forward to next year.

BTW, I'm in the middle, wearing the leather coat.

Cheers to ya bro!

Dr. T, you looking nothing like your avatar.

It's good to put some faces with some of you guys. Looks like tons of fun and sad I missed. Too many kids in too many sports.

Hope to see some of you in two weeks in Maryville at the Cycology show.

8. 01DUDLEY. Great show and had blast! Can't wait to do it again. I have already talked to a bike shop and some folks in Knoxville about doing something in our area!

I was photographed though! LoL! I was watching the finish line for david (Dorr). I'm the joker in the multi-colored toboggan at the finish line of the drags in the pics on pg 5 of this thread.

#7 is DonOne I believe (sorry if I got that wrong) Double Nickels Grandpa if I remember right ?

Double Nickel could have just said "I was the tallest guy at the show", pretty tall for the kid from high school anyway

Cool I was hoping I remembered right ! I was 6 foot my junior year and stopped there. My brother was 4 years behind me, I think he grew a foot from his junior year to college, I think he's about 6' 4" now, very intimidating when I introduce him as my "little brother". You'd be surprised how often people ask where the taller one is

Okay guys you are too kind. It takes a lot of people to put on a great show and I had so many volunteers. I would love to try to list them but it would take days and I would probably forget someone. I had some great sponsors in Scots Bicycles and Southern Powder Coating. I am hoping as the show grows, so will the sponsors. I am wanting to do more. As I hope you recieved, we had the first goody bag hand out to the vendor spots. These were handed out later as the registration table forgot to be told this is what they were for, Sorry. I hope to in the future offer a little more incentive for bikes to show up and compete for the top 20. We had a great turn out but always want more. The quality of bikes is there just need more quanity. The swap meet spoke for itself, it was huge! But as you can tell we have room for a 1,000 more on this school lot.

Thanks for the pictures. If anyone has anymore please post. Putting onthe show I stayed under the sound booth 95% of the day and did not get to see much; but what I see in these pictures is awesome.

But wait, it takes you to make the show and you did it by your attendance. So many drove so far and battled wtih all types of elements and I Thank You! One gentleman showed up at 4:30 pm after everyone was gone but my brother and I. He was from Alabama with a truck load of stuff and was caught up in a traffice jam after someone had wrecked on the interstate. The dedication from everyone is greatly appreciated. Because of your help we raised over $1400.00 in the fight against Cancer.

Sincerely, I say thanks to everyone and look forward to even a bigger and better show next year in 2014.

Does anybody know what the rear hub is on the Tubcycle? How many speeds is it?

CopyofIMG_7082_zpsf707a508.jpg

Thank you. I believe it to be a Sturmey Archer SX RK3 3-speed hub.

Thanks again, Jeremy, I much appreciate it.

how did the giveaway bike raffle go? was it as cool in person as it was during the build thread?
