So I recently got a Mongoose Beast from Walmart and have my list of mods all ready to go. This website has been an absolute treasure trove of helpful information and constant inspiration.
One thing is was wondering though was that I have seen a few people mention that they use regular bike tubes with the fatty tires. I was wondering how this works? I recently purchased some Sunlite Crusher tires and a set of Q-Tubes in 26 x 2.4 - 2.7 and they don't inflate enough to force out the sidewalks of the tire.
I'm currently running the Crushers with the stock tubes which are perfect (4" wide ones), but was wondering if you guys (and gals) stuff two tubes into one tire or whether it's the more offroad treaded wheels have a stiffer sidewall and so the tube isn't needed to seat the tire as much.
Questions questions.
