I bought this frame, tank & springer from OZ. I had NO IDEA what to do with this build until I saw this picture of this Willy's

So I sanded down the bike & put it in grey primer

Had to buy the white wall slick

Next comes the paint. It's going to be a little pricey but I'm using Testors model car paint. I'm spraying silver first then transparent blue & finally gloss clear

Lets see here, one can of primer (not testors) 2 silver cans of testors, I'm going to guess about 6 cans of blue testors & 2 cans of clear (not testors)

Re: Gasser

from using another brand primer, & clear.

Just to be on the safe side, you might want to spray a small piece and hit it with the clear as a test. Build-up the clear slowly in light, mist coats. Keep track of the re-coat time you use so you can duplicate that when painting the actual parts.
Also, it would be nice if yer clear has UV protection so the beautiful blue won't fade.
Nice bike + neat theme idea = COOL BUILD!!!!! 8)

hope it doesn't. using a different brand
most of the time will lift, wrinkle, crack :
sometimes the result may not show for awhile.
its allways best to stick with same brand product
start - finish.

Re: Gasser

Here's my make shift paint booth. A chain running from tree to tree through the head tube. It worked out great because you can rotate the frame completely around.
