I thought I got the "How to" from here, but maybe not. I can add something.Ditto. Less heat and less Physical force are always better. ... should be added to the dimpling tips and tricks page... somebody tech savvy and motivated...?!?

Well thanks for showing that tool. Now something else I have to make. The wife will be so proud. Loving the progress one this ride.About 2 years ago I needed to crimp a frame, so with advice from this site, I made this.

I don’t have access to an acetylene torch like I did last time I crimped a frame. So I picked up a little one from Lowe’s. It did the job.

And all of it. I ran out of juice right as I was towards the end of heating up the last section.

I’m going to let it naturally cool down then I’ll check the fit.
I'm sorry?Well thanks for showing that tool. Now something else I have to make. The wife will be so proud.

Thanks for sharing it. I have a set of vise grips modified I've used with a small torch. The more leverage will certainly help. My wife would be disappointed in me if I didn't bring a new tool or two home every week.I'm sorry?
Didn't catch the autocorrect on my phone.cramping? from crimping? So you have crimp cramps.
That’s a few steps ahead. Have to solve the caliper installation problem, then finish dropout alignment. Then drivetrainKinda nice it’s small. Lets you see the disc from the drive side. Looking cool. Hopefully chain clears that fatty tire ok?
Freewheel arrived. So I put on this NOS 333 spoke protector which is just under the size of the freewheel, so essentially hidden.

And so hidden! It’s a shame, but it’s a small detail I know steps it up.Wow! Never seen one of those before. That is a beautiful trim piece!!
I think they look better with the spacers, it looks more like real dice (which they are) and not a block shaped like to look dice. The guy I’m doing this bike for saw something he thought was really cool and wanted time to try it. So, sure. Why not.
So I took this.

The ones I saw had 5 dice together and they fit. They must have used a girls pedal because I had almost enough room for 6 die. But I didn’t want to cut one, so I figured out spacers in between.
So… there we go! New pedals for the MFer. (My nickname for it)
