Thanks for sharing it. I have a set of vise grips modified I've used with a small torch. The more leverage will certainly help. My wife would be disappointed in me if I didn't bring a new tool or two home every week.I'm sorry?
After the crimping I wanted check the frame’s alignment. I didn’t have string so I used dental floss.
32mm on each side, so good to go. So I wanted to recheck the dropout alignment with the disc caliper mounted. But the caliper seemed to have a little difficulty moving. I haven’t worked with this type of disc brake before, so in my curious hubris I blew it up and didn’t take pictures. God help me.

Freewheel arrived. So I put on this NOS 333 spoke protector which is just under the size of the freewheel, so essentially hidden.
Kinda nice it’s small. Lets you see the disc from the drive side. Looking cool.

Wow! Never seen one of those before. That is a beautiful trim piece!!
And so hidden! It’s a shame, but it’s a small detail I know steps it up.
I have a tall sissy in less than terrific shape. It’s an early Huffy tall sissy which held the rider’s weight through a dot on the clamp and a dimple on the bar. Terrible design that they quickly improved. Since this bike will be holding a man, and not just a child, the dimple won’t do. I I bought a set of beefier clamps. But they need proper holes.
So I used the dimples as my guide. I kept the holes as small as I could to eliminate slop and hold the weight better.
Next the bar needs some cosmetic fixes…

The guy I’m doing this bike for saw something he thought was really cool and wanted time to try it. So, sure. Why not.
So I took this.

To end up with these
The ones I saw had 5 dice together and they fit. They must have used a girls pedal because I had almost enough room for 6 die. But I didn’t want to cut one, so I figured out spacers in between.
So… there we go! New pedals for the MFer. (My nickname for it)

I think they look better with the spacers, it looks more like real dice (which they are) and not a block shaped like to look dice.
