Sorry guys, got super sick for a few days!
I wet sand with 1000 to get that effect. You could get away with 800, but be carful!

The welds do look a little off, but that's because the plate I got was galvanized and I tried to get it off the best I could, but no luck. I tacked welded it so it wouldn't warp to death. At least it's a Rat Rod so it fits anyway lol.


All done! Might play with the seat a little, not sure if I like how it sits, but LOVE how the bike turned out for my first build. Can't wait to get started on the next one!

Thin Galvanised sheet is awful to weld, you really need to sand the gal coating off to get a decent weld, hard to do with the thin stuff.
