Did you check the voltage of each individual cell ?
When my 40 cells arrived from Japan/China 1 cell was completly D.O.A.

This may be a mute point suggestion but have you thought at all about lining the inside of your enclosure with Nomex? It could be some cheap insurance that keeps your manhood intact in the event of a burn down at speed. Most race car shops carry a self adhesive fire barrier material for firewalls and inside race cars. I can't imagine it would cost very much for a small kit.

Thanks for the close-up on those fork, I didn't know that one spring plate was 2 piece. I guess that one of their ways to save money in making those.
