You can still use vinegar (no salt) for a non rusty old steel look. Just rinse the vinegar and immediately spray with WD40 to prevent rust from starting. Then to prevent future rust, rub in some boiled linseed oil.

A horn arrived today. Anxious to hear what it’s got. I’ve read mixed reviews, so it remains to be seen as to what it will do.

Interested in hearing what this sounds like too. Been looking at that same horn to put on my car. Want the Beep Beep sound like an old Jeep or Beetle.

It is loud, not really a Beep Beep though. Somewhat like an old VW horn. Heavy duty construction.

Wiring test mock-up, now to figure out where to mount.

WOLO Model 370 Beep Beep horn test.

First thought with mounting. I used a mounting bolt that was already there. Added a longer bolt though.

If I had two I’d put them on the sides of hood as faux lights.

Did it come from ACME?

ACME “WOLO”

These horns are about the same size of the “OLD” EA style. They would work visually on an old Motobike style bike. You might even be able to change out the face plates. That would be a good adventure for someone following this thread. I have an old non working one, might explore the faceplate sizes.

Temporary momentary horn button location. Battery pack is hanging from frame straight bar for now. Might get one of my cookie presses.

Cleaned up the rear wheel. Experimenting with a few hardware pieces and vinegar. I also noticed that by just brushing on some vinegar on a few zinc coated parts the shine is dulled.

Mounted the tire back up and put the rear wheel back on.

Did a little de-shining on the warning bracket, just subtle amount.

I have a few other hardware parts soaking.

Think I’ll do a battery tube with ABS pipe. Horn wiring is temporary for now but active.

I know it's late in the game but I saw this on youtube and thought something like this would be an amazing front end for your bike (play should start at 6:00 minutes):

Yes, the articulated removable front end is way cool. Think it’s beyond my skill set, but for a good price might buy one. Think it’s past the goodness of this pile of metal though.
