I see that as well. Just asking if 20" wheels will fit a Typhoon frame and not have the pedals hit the ground. I really think this may be a Stingray with a replaced chain guard.

But will 20" wheels fit that frame and not have the pedals hit the ground? The bars look correct as well...

Bought this the other day and am wondering if it's a Sting Ray. The fenders and handle bars look correct. Obviously someone swapped the seat and hopefully the chain guard. The serial number starts with db22... Can anyone tell by these pics if it's a mid 60s Sting Ray? Thank you very much.

Picked up a one year only Schwinn BX the other day for 20 bux. Its a survivor and needs nothing. I have been looking for a standard Stingray for a while and since I've had no interest in the BX on Craigslist was considering converting it over. I would swap seat and handlebars and add a sissy...

Finally nearing completion of the Hot Wheels conversion! Finally sold off the parts I didn't need, painted the frame/wheels and got my new parts in from Felt. Couldn't find Thick Brick white walls to save my life so I went with the ...... by Nirve. Love em!! So she's almost ready to cruise...

And so it begins. Torn down and sold off the parts I won't be needing. New parts on order. Should be in the first of next week :D So here is what i'm left with as of now.

I guess what I'm asking is am I destroying something that could be rare one day. How many of these were made ? I love the feel of the bike, just not the look.

East down and bound ! love that idea. Might have to run with it. Could still run the Hot Wheels tires and just change out the tank graphics and maybe put some diff bars on it. A flaming chicken might just fit on the tank. Lol
