BLING!! Gold ano stuff, if that doesn't say 'Vegas' I don't know what does!
This bike could def be a 'strip' teaser, if you know what I mean. ;)

Sexy hub!
Hehe, agree, so much so, I picked up a couple more of them for future projects.
Looks like you might be able to flip the rear sprocket to gain some tire/chain clearance.

But yeah, that hub is fricking awesome

Unfortunately, it is Already cupped outwards

Being new to these hubs, I had to teach myself how to put the shift linkage back together, the fist time I took the nut and washers off, the shift ring came off

Bling bling!! as my friend from the Netherlands would say. Heheh, And it will be on the strip in September if not sooner, teasing the few people who might be in town....

I Haven't thought thru the paint yet, will wait until it's together to tell me the color. Thinking it might say Black Pearl, Iron, bronze or Copper as the primary color, we'll see.

I've had distraction the last couple of weeks. My own little mini restoration for a piece of my past.

Started a few years back when I picked up some decals for my old predator...

The original viscount seat broke on my first wreck down at the BMX track.

A month ago, I had found some tires I liked, and a viscount dominator repop.

Like original, big up front, small out back. These CST Operatives and the two sizes with matching snake-ish treads.

Found some grips similar to some red and white ones I had on it in 85.

Just need to pull out the polisher and put on decals now...

Nice work on the Predator! Cool bike and history. They are cool as it sits, but I wonder if there is a technique to bring out the red in those mags again?

Those Red Stine mags were always a little stonish color. Looking at the front hub, a little grease seems to red them up some.. I wonder if linseed oil would have better staying powered when I wash it vs grease and oil...

Sounds silly, but I've heard that lemon Pledge works miracles on faded plastic.

*Probably not a good idea if you were planning rim brakes!

Hot water and Rit dye. They'll take the color

Pledge would be like wax or oil, which does darken them a bit.

That's an idea I hadn't thought of. I think I will give it a try soon. Still have polishing and stickers left as well on it.

Put on the old predator back burner again for now. Moving again on the Build.

Today I learned the basics on using a Cleveland Mill
