I'll have to take another pic. I got the BB and crank arms in. Nothing hitting currently but I'm sure they're close. HAHA I do have some tiny little 115mm arms from my boys bike that I could put on there to cheat it.....

I'm also not sure yet if I want to slam the front end, there's probably 2-3 inches I can take out of the fork tubes and get the wheel close to the frame.

That's kind of what I was thinking, if I could mount the front to the seat tube and almost let the spring perches sit on the frame. I was thinking of cutting off the top of the seat tube and putting a star nut inside of it? Remove the upholstery on the seat and bolt the seat support down and put...

Starting to put it back together. Had to open up the rear triangle a bit to fit. Some used 24" wheels with disc hubs. I think they were from a Specialized P1? Added some 203mm rotors and will be using some Elixir 3 brakes. Cheap dual crown fork I found on ebay and scuffed the chrome up. Looked...

Threw on some red primer, some orange, some tan and finished up with black. My hope was to sand threw a few layers and make it look worn, rusty. Turning out pretty cool.

Some progress. Frame stripped down, removed BB and headset cups. Cut off the chain guard tabs, cut off the water bottle inserts. Filled the holes and smoothed it all out. Scuffed everything with steel wool. Hoping to start laying some paint tomorrow!

I have read a lot of success stories with them but there are certainly some issues... They are cheap chinese bikes afterall. Lots of stories about crappy fender brackets breaking and fenders going into wheels at speed. Not good. I'm stripping mine down to change some things around and try to...

Nice! I dropped by Trailblazer too. Love the thing..... Haven't put the summer wheels on it yet this year because I need tires and they're expensive. :( DJM Upper control arms, Belltech struts, all moog end links, belltech springs out back, adjustable panhard, helper bags for towing.

Was caught off guard while at my Uncle's a few days ago. He said he put together a motorized bike and didn't have any luck getting it going and it's been sitting for a while. I was more than welcome to take it... So of course I threw the bike rack on and headed there after work to pick it up...

Good catch, I see what you mean. Is it usually the plates at the bottom of the head tube that bend or is it actually the fork legs that bend? I'm not sure I'd actually use the fork in the build but it'd be nice to save some money or even help someone out who could use the fork.
