Looks like it is a 1999 Dyno Compe. Decals look the same, frame geometry checks out, same dropouts, and most parts look the same too.

Got this Schwinn today off marketplace for $50.
disk brakes in the front
huge headset and aluminum frame
disk brakes in the rear
nice suspension fork with lots of travel
Also got this old single speed coaster brake skinny tire free spirit ladies bike... aka parts bike the other day for $30.
going to use the wheels and a few other parts to make this old Arch-bar frame I got a while back a rider.

Made some progress, wheels on and starting to look like a bike. Seat fit too!
I will be taking a few more parts off and casting this to the scrap pile. Kinda sad because it's in great shape but around here girls bikes are worthless.
I am really loving that arch bar frame.

So I let a friend borrow a bike and ended up with this...
So a friend of mine hit me up to go on a bike pick and unfortunately I had to work but I went ahead and let him "borrow" the Schwinn mountain bike and see what he could get in trade. I told him I only got $50 in it so give it a shot. He came back with this...

Me too. I probably overpaid for it but I got it for $165 shipped off of eBay. Really cool seller out of New York. I just had to have it. I'm going to be painting it as soon as I get it mocked up the way I want. It's going to be "Nantucket blue" which is as close as I could find to this picture I found.

Did a little paintwork on the Schwinn Kokomo cruiser. So this bike has an interesting story. I bought the wheels from a pawn shop and got the frame in a trade off of marketplace who has become a good friend and fellow bike nut. But anyway I got the wheels and bike separately and turns out they belong to this exact bike. So I later traded the bike back to him now complete with wheels and he painted it black.
I got the bike back in another trade and decided to give it some style and finally build it.

So I have not bought a bike in a while while I try to sort out a winter vehicle so I ended up trading my Lincoln Town Car for another bike hauler. This summer it's game on.
In my opinion, very good choice!
Very nice, over here in New zealand utes/trucks are overpriced on the used market, I had a 4 door Nissan Navarra, in the U.S you call them hardbodys I sold it many years ago as the engine needed work and never had the coin to fix it, now I want one they are expensive to buy, a mid 1990s in good mechanical order goes for 7 to 8 thousand dollars because they are very reliable, I have owned high spec honda odyssey 's for less (the JDM spec not the ugly U.S import ones) may have to get an odyssey although utes are so versatile here

Thanks this one has the typical construction worker dents and dings but runs fantastic. I kinda took a gamble on it but it turned out to be an easy fix. Was making a gear whine sound from the rear end but only when slowing down. So I took a chance and traded the Lincoln for it. Worst case I put a rear end in it for $500 and call it a day. As it turns out all it was is the pinion nut had backed off just enough to allow the pinion gear to make noise. Interior is very nice for the age and 245k miles. The previous owner also put a new stainless dual exhaust on it that sounds amazing. Not overly obnoxious but my neighbors definitely know when I'm home.

I been trying hard not to buy bikes lately due to fixing my truck but this one is what I like to call sentimental trash. Worthless junk that I grew up on.

Well today I found another childhood bike to hang on the wall next to it. A Team Murray... Had to have it.

Ok so little update (it's been a while) I traded the bike hauler for a much nicer bike hauler
2003 GMC Yukon XL and currently rebuilding the front steering and wheel bearings. Other than that super comfy and huge cargo area.
Then yesterday I scored a $100 fat bike called the "Swamp Donkey" and a $30 girl's skip tooth bike today.
Also paid off $700 in taxes that I owed, got the rear end in the truck fixed before trading up, and have fixed a few things on the Yukon XL.
First off the driver's seat bottom was looking a little ragged so...
New seat foam and upholstery
Wheels I got with it were in my opinion hideous and came with really bald tires
So I found these on marketplace

Also cleaning it out I found something really cool in the cup holder all covered in sticky soda residue and nastiness. An 1880 indian head penny!

That looks like a CWC with the curved stays, very nice. The skiptooth chain alone is worth 3x what you paid
That might be a 50's Hawthorne head badge on that CWC.
Everything looks original, even the tires. I'll bet the wheels have never been removed to fix a flat. It's a girl's bike of course, they took care of their stuff. In the garage, no 20' skids, never dropped on the ground or taken off any jumps like us boys did.

Nice work!! I recently found a very worn buffalo nickel under the front of the front seat. Just gave it a thorough vacuum not long ago. No idea how it got there or when since I've had the truck a while. It's so worn, can't see a date. No pic.

That was on it when I got it. I recently sold my other fat bike the "Haro Fatboy Freestyler" so I wanted another one. Been kinda going through a tough time with vehicle repairs, getting an unexpected $700 in taxes to pay off, and my job refusing to let me get any overtime so I've had to let go of a few toys.SWAMP DONKEY!!!??!!
