This may be a bad time and place to ask this, but I'm having a very difficult time finding wide rims. Does anyone know of a good place to order 3-5 inch (80-125mm) wide fat bike rims here in the US? Just the rims, not the complete wheel set. The only place I can find then reliably is from a place in GERMANY, and the shipping is killing me

Saw thes on Ebay. Probably getting a pair. They will be good for the back on one of my builds and have 29x3's for the front.

Ordered the pair of 26x5s black hoops today. Price is 1/3 what they cost during the 2021-2022 times...

I have a spare rim from my "Maurice" muscle bike build from a Mongoose Beast fat bike. Perhaps we can make it happen. Needs a wide "Boost" hub or whatever they're called.

Wow big and wide!

Lot of surface area for ideas, paint, stickers and more.
Fully agree. Lots of things todo with that big of a canvass.

One thing I saw a couple weekends ago, engraving is working its way back with a bigger showing this year than before.

With all those extra holes on those wheels, it has me thinking EL Wire for lighting them up. Way better than single LEDs...

Why so wide? This new Sturmy hub I fell into for 1/3 the price of new, is a little over 6-1/4 wide nut to nut.

That's what I use on the rear of last year's class two build. They make lacing a pain because they're drilled for a 140 spoke pattern instead of the standard 144

I'm down to see if we can't make a deal.

Reminds me of the latest frames that Art Ramirez of Skrapfather bikes built recently (on facebook). I love the girder construction of these.

A couple Saturdays ago, Art and I rode from the launchpad to Crank N Grind where his welder was at. The seat had broke a weld from the night before. After he welded.it back together we hung out and talked. Great guy.

I think this one was the second.

He showed/told me that the construction of the new series is different than the skeleton series of frames. Skeletron's were box on between the bent box. The newer frames are a lot lighter as they use plate instead of voc between the bent box tubing.

A couple skeletrons for reference...

Closer pic. 80+ gear combinations. A feat in reduction and getting everything you cam get out of a pedal on a bike that takes tow to three people to lift
