Hub is back in the rear wheel.

The mag cover nightmare continues. Finally finished the silver. But the tape over the black caused texture on the black. So I covered the silver with paper, sanded the black and reshot it. That revealed more texture issues. So need to let it cure, Reagan’s and reshoot. I guess it’s good it’s going to be 109f degrees today, it’ll make curing quicker so maybe I can reshoot tomorrow.

Are you using rattle can paint? If so, I would suggest moving to a single stage automotive paint for more durability and ease. Plus the curing time is shorter.
I am. And it did it again.

I don’t have a way to paint automotive paint at home, and I can’t pay an auto body shop for this. I already paid double for the front wheel.

So I thinking of switching to this. It’s not gloss, but maybe that will help with the primer in it, and thinner coats.

That sucks.
Maybe you can find a better quality primer formulated exclusively for plastic. Do a little Google research.

A quick search and these came up:

You're gonna need to remove all of that paint first (I'm sure you know that).

One other thing, I have used these little paint guns with great success.
https://www.homedepot.com/p/Preval-9-oz-Complete-Spray-Gun-267/202533738 (also available elsewhere).

With this gun you can buy some proper automotive primer and paint and get good results. The paint store that I use will mix most any amount even as little as a half pint.

I used one for painting an Army livery on a helicopter a few years ago. It was out on the tarmac away from any power or compressed air so the little aerosol sprayer got me through the job! It's also reusable with refills.

Life is hard. It’s even harder when you’re dumb. Apparently I’m as dumb as they come.

The mags look decent.

But when I attached the clips to connect them, not once did I think to avoid the rods!!

NOT ONCE!!!

So… now I have to cut them off and start again, mounting the clips out of the way.

Can you just leave the rods off-center and drill more holes for the valve stem and center? It looks awesome!
It's honestly easier to cut off the speaker clips and epoxy new ones back on. I cut the old ones off already. Had to order new ones because I didn't have enough.

Annoying, for sure, but it looks amazing @CRASH

Btw, what are you using to paint the lettering?

On the tire? Those are stick on letters. I didn't do this set, I bought them already done from a guy who does them. But I've done them before and have some on their way from TredWear.com

Awesome. When ordering online, what tire size (measurements) are you entering for a 20" bicycle tire and a 26", for the precurve applicator? Or are you just ordering the lettering and laying them free hand?
