Re: Eddie´s Board Rat Racer What kind of welder are you using? Oxy acetylene, MIG, Arc? Looks like to much heat/electricity if you are burning through. What kind of filler metal are you using?

Is this after market or did it come stock on a muscle bike? The tire is a 20" BMX for size comparison. I'm welding the small loop back on it for a friend. He has no idea what it came on.

It seems like these are growing on trees lately. The silver Continental is a Aug of 75. The brown and yellow Continentals are both 1974s. My neighbor gave me the silver bike along with a extra set of wheels and a real nice mountain bike rear wheel. My parents found the brown and yellow bikes...

Eastwood makes a motor for the one they sell http://search.eastwood.com/search?asug= ... &ts=custom . It should work with the HF bender.

I noticed that the big BMX dealer at the AnnArbor show was running around while people were setting up. They were trying to grab all the under priced stuff they could get their hands on. They left my booth disappointed. I'm not a expert on vintage BMX prices, but I did a little home work...

Cool! I just dragged two similar Hawthornes out of the woods. I'm still trying to get the seatpost out of one of them! I think the truss rods should be staright as well, although the curved is unique.

I like the blade forks. That is the same exact bike I used for my 20 minute klunker build. Looks like yours is in better shape. Mine was $40 at a garage sale.
