    The Oldest bike I own...

Very cool old bike. Can't wait to see it roadworthy.

    My builds so far...

The engine kits can be bought through websites or ebay. The frame I used is a stock Evans with a Monark fork. The Boardtracker X bike is a Fire bikes frame with a fork I made. The Merkel is a stock Hawthorne frame, again with my own fork and "tank".

Re: indian inspired motored bike. finally finished That is very very cool! Looks like something that would have been raced at Brooklands in the 20s.

    My builds so far...

I had a couple of requests to post all of my builds together. As you can see not all of them are gems! Quite a few are still waiting for the finishing touch. I would also like to thank some of the guys that have inspired me, such as Sensor, Karfer, Oldy57, Hooch, Unclestretch and of course...

    Some Raleigh 28 inch Q's

I have a couple of sets of 28" Raleigh wheels. One set has a New Departure hub laced into it and the other has the original 3-spd (on my Excelsior and Peerless bikes). I also have a pair of Canadian built 28x1 1/2 wheels that accept 700x 40c tires (see my Columbia arch frame build). Electra...

    A tribute to Boardtrackfan

Wow! Thanks guys, it makes me feel really good that I am able to contribute to such a great site and hobby. I'm only 5'7" so the boardtrack style does not bother me to ride long distances. I grew-up riding BMX bikes with hard plastic seats and then road bikes. Neither style bike can be...

    Murray Boardtrack

Re: Rustbucket Racer- It rides, Aug 4 It would be cool to ride in a alley cat. It would get lots of attention from the hipster fixie guys.

Re: Rustbucket Racer- It rides, Aug 4 Looks great! I love those style bars. That seat is pretty rare I would imagine. I'm surprised the crank is stripped. Did you try a different lock nut?

The Sucker Punch (New Bars- what do you think?)

I like the look of the original bars, but the new ones could look better if you rotated them back a bit more. So in a direct side view the bar is in alignment with the fork angle. I sound like the bicycle fashion police!

    Schwinn racer freebie!

I got this from a friend/co-worker today. He collects and restores Schwinn bikes, but had no use for this frame and fork. I also got a set of freebie wheels from Flying Dingo about a year ago. My head has been spinning all after noon trying to decide what I want to do with it. I'm thinking...

    my new old schwinn

I believe if you remove the crank that you will find a date cast into it. That should help put you in the ball park. The crank will have a AS (Arnold, Schwinn) and a date. This does not mean the bike was built that year but close. Rat Royale's guess sounds about right.

    VOTE HERE!!! - RRBBO4

Hard choices again! I wrote down the names of the bikes I would like in my garage and came up with about eight! To narrow it down to three I went back to the build threads and based my votes on the attention to detail, execution, and inovations. Lots of great design and engineering in this...

    Stretchaschwinn

The bike is looking great! The arched frame really looks good stretched out. Really sorry to hear about your dog. I have lost a few pets myself and know how difficult it can be. It gets easier with time and before you know it you just smile whenever you are reminded of them.
