    ORBO Let's Go Ride Bikes

Yup, this is one of my first loves. Hehehe. It was stored at my folks place for a number of years. Dad brought it to the house, after we moved here. My son rode it back and forth to school for a few years, he outgrew the torker stallion he got when he was 5.

Sweet! Loving that smaller gumwall on the back. Building for race, when I was a kid, we would always put the narrow on the back so it would dig in, while the front floated across the gravel. That Haro frame is awesome!

I've always be partial to flats and platform pedals. I like the looks of those.

This first Schwinn my parents got me. The bike and I went through a lot together. The few dings on it and lack of decals all have a story. Being hard on things, my 83 Predator saw a lot of hard riding, things broke that could, the Front reflector was broke off within a month. The clear...

Between taxes and planning a trip for my daughter's graduation the budget for this build is in the negative after the bearings. So took some sun bleached yellow Kontacts from an old build And some high temp plastic paint that I had on the shelf. These should work well. Will need to plan a...

Those dimensions look really good. What is the wheelbase with the modified head tube angle?

ORBO GT - The Pigeon Roost

Both were very good shocks back in their day. I have Judy C's on my old 2004 specialized and like them. Between the two, I'd pick the one with the most travel, which I suspect may be your Judy XC''s

Nice to know that I'm not the only only one who can lose things like that. Spent 30 minutes yesterday searching for the 6mm allen that I 'just had'.

Finally got around to tearing that front hub apart. Found one of the sealed bearings is close to froze up. Will have to find some.

Started thinking about cranks. I have a 170mm crank almost identical to the 165 that was on it, but I also have some 175s to pick from and one's a mongoose branded one. May start with tye 170s and trade up if I think there is room after the tires are on it. Still undecided.

    SWB0 E=mc2 (relatively finished)

Looks like a lot of bearings I've seen out here, even on 25 year old bikes.

Soaked the sprocket in some PA and water to de-rust and etch it for paint. SOS pad plus and cleaned up nice. Either had copper accents or the nickle and chrome are wearing off. Painted same as the frame. May press in the head tube bearings this evening.

Some more painting today. Bars and fork, flat flat flat black, so flat it's textured. Then gloss black over it. Neck needed some grinding to be back into shape. It will stay extra flat.

Some progress. Wheels cleaned up well. Not gonna paint them. Will touch them up a bit though. Have some spoke work todo to the rear and front hub needs attention. Painted. A little Iffy on the Montana gold. Kept getting wet tip. Still layed down pretty decent. The clear melted it in a...

    Tips n Trix

That's what I like todo as well except only use hot water if they are hard. I peel the edge back and put dish soap around the edge the use compressed air to blow the soap between the grip and the bar, and start to twist and they come off almost every time without issue.

That's a can of Montana Gold - Mystic Black. I picked it up on Amazon. Could only find transparent black plastic tail light lense paint around here. Yes, I couldda picked up some transparent black airbrush paint at the art store, and fired up the airbrush, but i think the spray can will lay...
