    Ne'er-do-well *Deluxe*

I hear ya on clearance, the rear tire on the Lowco Liner will have to be inflated in place too….🤷🏻‍♂️….that’s ’kustom’ baby! 🤣🤣🤣

Really love this build it and the Full Monty, they are inspiring a future build for me.

The scale and design of that light is perfect for this bike. Guess I’m goofy though, because I like the handle on it, I think it fits the ‘quirkiness’ of the build

Started working on the fork and ‘tins’ this week. Started with the chainguard, the chrome on it was flaking and getting rusty and pitted. A few minutes with the flap disk Gave it a quick coat of Rust Reformer to get an idea on how much filler I needed Was gonna just use some Bondo glazing...

He bud, don’t want to clog up your finished thread with questions. Where did you get the grips?

Well, while waiting for my yard work ‘assistant’ to finish her avocado toast, I did a quick mock-up on the fork. Looks like I’ll have to just modify the ends of the fender braces to get the axle to sit deeper into the fork dropouts, but I’m hopeful that we should be good! I’ll give it more...

    Lowco Liner (aka Sunday Best)

Was just staring at stuff last night, I think there may be front fender clearance issues with the tire. I did manage to get the headset cups installed, so I may mock-up everything up again before I do any more restoration on the fork. I don’t think I’ll have the ability to modify it like I did...

LBS called this morning, my wheels are done! Swing by and grabbed them, then after yard work was finished, I couldn’t help but reinstall the rim liners and mount the tires up Before I did that, I checked the rear wheel, swapping the jam nuts now has the wheel bang on the center I also managed...

    Lowco Liner (aka Sunday Best)

Had a slow work day today so I decided to strip the mock-up down to the bare frame to address the rear fender/tire clearance and disassemble the front end in preparation for finishing fork restore. On to the fender stuff. I started by using my profile duplicator to get the curve of the fender I...

    La Fugazi

I like the Electra rims better than the gold for two reasons. One, the color, that white would look, as you said, more old school. I agree, there’s something about the look of old bikes with painted white rims. They even make whitewalls look ‘fatter’. Two, the profile on those old Electra rims...

That makes sense. It was a bit small to have been for wiring, ‘was’ being the key word. I opened it up a bit for both wires (plus the guide cable) to more easily feed in.
