    TRADITIONAL Undecided

Had to go with the monark sprocket, Schwinn crank though. Also swapped the baskets for a rack. The back was looking a bit too busy. Not a huge update but it’s been harder than expected for me to keep finding grimy hardware. Handlebars are something I may not have a set to match the look.

Got a bit of time tonight. Trying to do something daily, back wheel was tonight.if the paint wasn’t so cool on these I’d never mess with these hubsgot it rebuilt, and ready to ride need to buy or dig out a chain, adjust the basket mount. These are just cool and came off something I parted out...

I might try to save the old navy sticker. That and the missing top tube is what made me drag the frame out of a guys scrap pile.

Had to start tonight with a bit of clean up. My C2 is making a mess. Fresh grease! New brand so hopefully it doesn’t suck.the important part of the hub cleaned up nice. These are the first Schwinn wheels I’ve owned that take a normal size tire. Plus I like the paintthe grungy full fender look is...

yeah the first one was just a bit to large to make the chain line work. also went down to a more modern wheel with an 18t sprocket for the same reason.

    UNLIMITED Pyle

Turns out the best tool for the job was an old 2x4 and a hammer. After the vice smash of course Not the prettiest solution but it allowed me to get it together enough to see if I could ride it. This was a no go, the bars were way short and the skinny front tire flopped over easy. I had my kid...

That’s one long chain, and it almost worked 😂tiny vice to do a bit of clearance worksmaller front sprocket set up to hug as tight to the bottom bracket as possible. That combination gave us a bit of clearance at the bottom. This wasn’t enough to clear the top. But the chain outside the seat stay...

    UNLIMITED Pyle

So got started on this today. Started with a bit of extension, needed room to both clear the front wheel and relocate a bottom bracket. Decided not to use a disc brake rear this ladies Schwinn donated the head tube, rear triangle and bottom bracket Double checking the planned ride heigh The...

Got some time tonight and did a mock up in my normal style. These never score many votes and I seem to always build them. It would mean I’d finally use Still unsure but I wanted to look at it anyway! Also decided I should atleast check out the monark parts on the monark. Sadly the front fender...

Trying to get an idea of what I want before Sunday. 5 speeds and a disc brake! Think I’m going to shoot for 3 inches of ground clearance. See what happens

Got a bit of spare time tonight so did mock up the more traditional style build. Felt wrong without a monark sprocket front rack option. Rear baskets of course all the baskets! Like it better than expected. Of course needs more front tire and plenty of cleaning. Pros: simple, have all the parts...

Spent most of my free time this evening catching up on yard work but snuck down to the basement to clean up and dig around some. Frame is pretty crusty but doesn’t look as bad as a prior build that had to get a rust hole filled with weld. I do wish more of that green paint was left! Got out some...

    UNLIMITED Pyle

I’m hoping to use that as my main or base. It’s an old Huffman that someone hacked the top tube out of long ago. It’s the only men’s frame in the pile aside from two cranbrooks. There’s also the possibility my c2 is based off a tandem instead. My buddy who welds/who’s fab shop I use is...

    UNLIMITED Pyle

Unlimited is looking a bit lonely and I got my basement clean out done. Somewhere in this pile in the truck is my c2. Mostly stuff on the passenger side but the Chinese mountain bikes have straight tubes to cut. Sunday is the plan to get an actual start on cutting and welding.
