    Bad Rattitude

I have the same frame. @Wildcat ,ID it as early 47.CWC frame. Are those 20" wheels? Should be interesting.

    Typhoon klunker build

But are the bars secure? Maybe add some grooves with a hacksaw.

Makes sense as it's the side you shoot photos of. I don't want to look and see what I did on my bikes now. Stupid OCD.

1952 Firestone Super Cruiser - Monark built.

Thanks @Wildcat ! I think I will mount the rat trap on another bike to test function. Thought I would add some pics I found from @bikesnbuses RRB for sale ad from 2021 to show assembly details. I will relocate the truss rod as shown.

1952 Firestone Super Cruiser - Monark built.

Tried a couple different forks today. Don't know what direction I'm going to take it. These bolts look a little sketchy, I don't know anything about this fork (never had it on a bike.)

1952 Firestone Super Cruiser - Monark built.

Missed a couple of spots so have to touch up paint. I also found a Wald kickstand that fits. Was prone to get loose so I added a couple tack welds on the underside.

1952 Firestone Super Cruiser - Monark built.

One of the first bike frames I picked up at a swap, I made the nubie mistake of not checking if I could move the seat post before cleaning and painting it. :21: I snapped the end of the stuck post off, then welded an old crank and a pedal axle in it and pounded and twisted, and heated and oiled...

    Are these wheels anything?

    Hoping they are 26.

What have you been riding lately?

I dug this out and put some miles on it last couple of days. We have had a wonderful streak of sun and warm 60's F here in North East Wisconsin! This is a Centrix (same as Jamis Earth Cruiser) that I inherited my Late Brother. I have begun modding it to fit me better.

George M. in Denver, Co. - Just signed up!

I think Palepainter has a great idea there! And for the record I don't know what the part is really called - I intended to type "fingers" but my fat 'finfers' got in the way!

    '64 Halloween bike

Wow, that is a tall frame. Just currious what is the distance from the center of the crank to the top of the seat tube. I have never come across a King size Schwinn in the wild.

George M. in Denver, Co. - Just signed up!

@George M. Your drive looks like this with 2 finfers in the spokes? Maybe shape or trim fingers or maybe cut down to 1. Another Idea may be to reshape them, drill a small hole in each and yie on spokes with fine wire?

    Horsefarmer's fresh finds

I'm thinking a stock seat post (pictured) which is about 3" too tall now can be ground to a taper for a snug fit.

    Threads size on Schwinn fork

Put a .833 allloy stem in my Monark (standard stem). Fit was loose, so I added a aluminum pop can shim...

Freeliner with 3 x 1 gearing is GO!

I may try your concept to use a freewheel 20" BMX wheel on a 26" frame. Oh, I wonder what the gearing will be like on that combo!
