I like it. Is the chrome fork a Schwinn part? I've seen them with painted forks before, too. The front wheel is kinda neat- looks HD. Might be worth something.

Thanks bud! :mrgreen: Yeah, '83 seems likely. However, I was just working on this and I realized that the ACS rear hub is stamped "12 88 ACS". Is it safe to interpret that as a December, 1988 stamp? That confuses me though. 1983 seems like a likely year for the bike, but the '88 rear wheel...

That's a sweet looking rig. I like the super heavy wheels, the bars, the frame, the tires... well, everything! What color was the frame originally, or is that the o.g. paint? I have never seen a stock orange Schwinn cantilever before.

Thanks guys. I had hoped to work on it a ton this weekend but am just getting to it now. Lots of homework and a new bass guitar have been distracting me (it was mostly the homework though, I swear). Time to chop some fenders. I'll try to get some pics up soon.
